Tell us about your effective employer practice
Dear colleague,

We have been commissioned by the
Education and Training Foundation to gather evidence on effective employer engagement activities for learners aged 16 and 17 studying below Level 2.

This work will support the development of the proposed ‘transition year’ for learners with low prior attainment, included in the Government’s Post-16 Skills Plan. A
practical resource to help providers deliver effective employer engagement activities with this learner group will also be produced.

Get involved

We are seeking responses from organisations that offer employer engagement activities to learners aged 16 and 17 studying below Level 2, including (but not limited to):

•    school sixth forms
•    further education colleges
•    sixth form colleges
•    independent training providers
•    land-based colleges
•    third sector/voluntary organisations
•    youth social action groups

We want to hear about the scale and range of employer engagement activities you offer, how these are designed, and how their outcomes/effectiveness are measured.

Please note that activities delivered with learners who are unlikely to progress to further education (e.g. those whose main aim is independent living) are not in scope for this work, nor are apprenticeships, traineeships or supported internships.
To contribute, please complete this short online form by Friday 12 January 2018.
